Terms of use
Draft for review. These plain-language terms are a starting point. They must be reviewed by someone qualified before InningOps is offered publicly. Items in [brackets] are still to be decided.
Effective date: [to be set at launch]
The service
InningOps lets organizations run baseball and softball tournaments: registration, schedules, scoring, standings, brackets and public tournament pages. During our pilot season InningOps is free, and features may change as we improve it.
Accounts
- You need an account to manage or score tournaments. Keep your sign-in secure.
- An organization's Admins decide who joins it and with which role (Admin, Tournament Director or Scorekeeper), and are responsible for that access.
- Give accurate information, and use your own account rather than sharing one.
Your content
Organizations own the tournament information they enter, and give us permission to store and show it in order to run the service, including on public pages they publish. Organizations are responsible for having the right to share what they enter, including team names, logos and coaches' contact details, and for not entering personal information about players.
Acceptable use
Don't use InningOps to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights;
- post content that is abusive, misleading or harmful;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or disrupt the service;
- send spam through registration or other forms.
Pilot season and changes
The service is provided "as is" while we pilot. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own records of results that matter. We'll give reasonable notice before introducing paid plans or making significant changes to these terms.
Ending use
You can stop using InningOps at any time and ask us to delete your organization's information. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, InningOps isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to [amount to be decided]. [Governing law and venue to be decided.]
